Tristan continued to be an adorable little toddler, even though he did enjoy pouting quite a bit. Perhaps he could sense that there could be trouble for his parents down the line?
"Oh Sophie, even though I'm married, I can't help but care for you," declared Mortimer. "I've always been attracted to you, Sophie, since the day I first met you."
"Oh my, Morty. I don't know what to say."
"Then don't say anything at all."
Sophie couldn't believe it. She was happy with Dominic, but there had always been a part inside of her, the part of her that loved to party and sing, that resented being tied down to any one person. When Morty kissed her, it excited her to her core. Even though she knew it was wrong, she couldn't stop.
Meanwhile, back at home, Dominic, poor oblivious Dominic, proved to be a doting, devoted father to little Tristan. A bookworm himself, Dominic's favorite activity was reading stories to his son.
"Morty, this is wrong..."
"Shhh...some sims are just not meant to be monogamous. Besides, what Dominic doesn't know won't hurt him, right?"
"I guess so."
When he wasn't doing his best to earn promotions to support their growing family, Dominic continued to dote on Tristan.
Despite her affair with Mortimer, Sophie still spent lots of time with Tristan. No matter what she would make sure her little baby grew up in a happy home.
When she wasn't taking care of Tristan, Sophie dedicated herself to music. It would take a lot of time and effort to mold herself into the next big pop star.
She was determined to do it...even if she discovered she was pregnant yet again...And who was the father? Sophie had a sinking feeling it was not Dominic.
Despite her indiscretions, Sophie did truly love Dominic. They'd always had great chemistry, and he'd always been very good to her. As a struggling musician, Sophie had trouble making any money, but it was Dominic's tech job that kept the family fed and the electricity turned on. She didn't know what she would do without him.
"I love you, Sophie."
"I love you too, Dom. I don't deserve you."
Oblivious to any drama between his parents, Tristan continued to be his adorable, charming little self. Unlike many other babies, he really did enjoy his peas.
Heavily pregnant, Sophie tried anything she thought might make the baby come out faster. Even though she wanted a big family, she did not enjoy feeling like a beached whale.
"Come on, little one. I'm gonna dance you out of there!"
Sophie wasn't the only dance machine in the house. She taught Tristan some moves too.
Finally, Sophie went into labor in the backyard one morning.
She gave birth to a baby girl who she named Ada. Her pale skin was definitely Mortimer's.
Tristan couldn't wait to meet his baby sister. He was eager to be a good big brother, and he was soon to be much bigger. It was almost his birthday!
Tristan grew into his father's blue hair, but strikingly he had his mom's green eyes.
Sophie threw a birthday party for Tristan, which, in retrospect, wasn't such a good idea, because Mortimer crashed the party!
"What is Mortimer Goth doing with my wife?" Dominic worried.
It soon became clear that the two of them were more than just friends. Dominic was furious!
"Morty, you really shouldn't have come..." said Sophie, trying hard to keep a smile on her face for Tristan's benefit, even though she knew all was crumbling down around her.
What had she done? Would Dominic leave them? If he did, how would she keep the lights on and feed her babies? She knew she deserved all of Dom's fury, but her heart was breaking in two. They were soulmates, she knew it. Could he ever learn to forgive her?
