Chapter 1.3

Things were quite tense between Sophie and Dominic for a while. Dominic couldn't even bear to sit close to Sophie, and he'd taken to sleeping on the couch. Both parents put on a brave face for Tristan and baby Ada though. If there was one thing they could still agree on, it was that they both wanted the best for their kids.

To keep her mind off the stressful situation at home, Sophie continued to practice her singing and guitar skills. Soon other sims even began giving her tips!

It was one one sunny day at the park after a good jamming session that Sophie met Bjorn. From the moment she laid eyes on him, she felt that electric shock. He seemed to feel the same way, even though he, like Mortimer, was married.

Tristan was adjusting to school quite well. He made friends with a classmate named Cole, who had a genetic mutation that made his hair white. Tristan thought his friend's hair was super cool and wouldn't let anyone tease him about it. After all his own hair wasn't exactly a normal color either.

In time Sophie was able to patch things up with Dominic. For his part, Dominic couldn't bear to stay angry with his for long. He truly was deeply in love with her and believed she was his soulmate. Their physical and emotional attraction had always been strong. Maybe it was time for a change...

"Soph, what do you think about being in an open relationship?"

Sophie was surprised. "Dom, do you really mean it?"

"I know I can't change the sim you are at heart, Sophie, and I don't want to try. You don't have to change for me. I just want you to be happy. If this is what it takes, so be it."

"Dom...I never want to hurt you. You don't have to do this for me if it will make you unhappy..."

Dom waved away his wife's concerns. "I will be fine, Sophie. You and our children are what matters most to me, what makes me happy."

Sophie couldn't believe Dom was willing to try an open relationship. She wondered if he was truly ok with it or if he was just doing this for her. A pang of guilt stabbed her in the heart again. She'd find a way to make this up to Dominic one day...somehow...

In the meantime, she had her kids to love and raise.

Ada grew up into an angelic little toddler, with her father Mortimer's pale skin and dark hair.

Despite her extramarital, passionate tendencies, family life really did suit Sophie. She loved spending time with her son, and she was so glad to see that he made friends easily.

Even though Dominic had agreed to be in an open relationship, Sophie still felt a bit guilty about meeting Bjorn at the Ruins. After all Bjorn also had a wife who was presumably not aware of her husband's flirtations.

But when Bjorn looked into her eyes, and she felt that familiar thrill of electricity, all her doubts and guilt faded away, and she gave into her romantic nature.

Bjorn seemingly had no reservations as they headed into the bushes. Even though technically Sophie could've brought Bjorn home, she did not want to flaunt their relationship in front of Dominic no matter how much he said he was ok with it, and definitely not in front of the kids. They would not understand.

"Ugh, gross."

Opening up their relationship had the unexpected side effect of also spicing things up. Sophie found she could not keep her hands off Dominic at home, and he was not complaining.

He secretly suspected that Ada was not his daughter, not biologically anyway, and that had bothered him a lot at first, but it was impossible not to feel a deep love for the sweet little girl. He would love and care for her as if she were his daughter, and she would never know that he was not in fact her father.

Dominic was incredibly proud of his son and also proud that Tristan had inherited his unusual blue hair. They spent time together either watching TV or playing video games. Tristan was such a social butterfly, much more adept at making friends than Dominic had ever been at his age.

"Oh my plumbob...I hope Dominic won't be too angry..."

Even though he'd agreed to an open relationship, Sophie was not sure how he'd take her being pregnant for the third time.

Despite all the family drama, Sophie made sure to not let any of it affect their kids. Tristan knew he was loved by his parents and that they'd do anything for him.

Ada was generally a cheerful toddler, but she would get lonely if no one else was around to comfort her.

Dancing while she was pregnant with Ada had done the trick in inducing labor. Maybe playing the guitar at the coffee shop for tips would do the same with this pregnancy.

Ouch, thought Sophie to herself. Be careful what you wish for! Soon she was going into labor in the bathroom. Dominic, the saint, was incredibly supportive and helped her deliver...

Twin boys! Sophie couldn't believe it. Their family was growing so big. Even though they weren't rich by any means, she was determined that little Fergus and Duncan would not want for anything.

The twins turned out to be a handful. Sophie had hardly any time for practicing her music. Little Duncan cried constantly. Nothing seemed able to soothe him. His twin Fergus was a bit quieter, but when they both started crying at the same time, it was all Sophie could do not to cry with frustration at times. Luckily Dominic was there for her and the twins. She really did not deserve him...

---

Notes: I feel so bad for Dominic. He and Sophie really do seem meant for each other. Dominic only spent about a day in game mad at Sophie before they started flirting and kissing each other again. Urgh, when I rolled 5 kids, a couple, and half-siblings I knew I was in for a rough time! So much drama.

Chapter 1.4

A/N: Oops, it's been a really long time since the last update. That's usually what happens with me though unfortunately. I'll be really into the Sims for a while, and then it falls off my radar for months at a time. Maybe this time I'll be able to stick with things long enough to finish a legacy, but we'll see!  Tristan could tell that something had happened between his parents. He remembered there being a lot of tension and even some fights. It really stressed him out, and he took his mind off things by hanging out with his friends and doing homework.  Tristan was sad that his best friend would become a teenager before him. What if he forgot about him?  His best friend grew up into a very buff teenager with a trademark teenage smirk. "Watch out, ladies!" Tristan sighed. He just knew he was going to be forgotten. Until he was a teen too, he wouldn't be cool.   It was a time of many birthdays for the Keller household....

Chapter 1.2

Tristan continued to be an adorable little toddler, even though he did enjoy pouting quite a bit. Perhaps he could sense that there could be trouble for his parents down the line?  "Oh Sophie, even though I'm married, I can't help but care for you," declared Mortimer. "I've always been attracted to you, Sophie, since the day I first met you." "Oh my, Morty. I don't know what to say."  "Then don't say anything at all."  Sophie couldn't believe it. She was happy with Dominic, but there had always been a part inside of her, the part of her that loved to party and sing, that resented being tied down to any one person. When Morty kissed her, it excited her to her core. Even though she knew it was wrong, she couldn't stop. Meanwhile, back at home, Dominic, poor oblivious Dominic, proved to be a doting, devoted father to little Tristan. A bookworm himself, Dominic's favorite activity was reading ...
